Challenges

Prior to the workplace transformation project with IAL CWLP, there was hardly monitoring on the claims process. In addition, the Project Managers did not fully comprehend the relevance and urgency of having timely progress claims – their focus was solely on completing projects on schedule, and ensuring that they had sufficient resources to complete their projects.

Interventions

Workplace learning interventions were needed to redesign the job roles of employees, to ensure that both teams are able to work hand-in-hand to maintain timeliness and accuracy in both claims, and the completion of projects. With the aid of IAL’s Certified Workplace Learning Specialist (CWLS), the following were implemented:

1

Conducted a session to diagnose reasons for delays and inaccuracy in the claims process

2

Co-created checklists and templates

3

Implemented monthly and bi-monthly meetings to monitor the claims process

4

Re-designed job roles and reviewed current OJT programme
