Introduction
Active Noticing allows employees to be aware of what is happening internally (i.e. their own thoughts and feelings) and externally (i.e. in the learning event). Active Noticing acts to feed information from the learning environment into a continuing reflective process, which is essential to the employee’s learning experience. Thus, employees become fully engaged and receptive; as a result, develop a richer pool of data from which to make decisions, think about problems/challenges. The focus of this Workplace Learning Method is on getting employees to perform Active Noticing externally.
